Apple is going to release a new 13-inch Retina MacBook this summer, with cheaper price than a current 12-inch MacBook. According to the latest official news, a new model will have a 2560×1600 panel and 226 PPI density, just like a 13-inch MacBook Pro. We expect an entry-level new Mac faster and better than a previous one. In a word, this is going to be a nice product, more affordable than we used to see from Apple. According to the preliminary data, this one will cost just like the current MacBook Air – about $1000.

It is known that previously Apple planned to hire a Chinese producer to create displays for a cheaper MacBook Retina, but the tests convinced them to use LG display because of the quality issues.

The current 12-inch MacBook Pro costs $1299 and the difference in the price is not so big, of course. This implies that the new MacBook is almost at the same price level, with a small price cut, which is not so significant, but still nice.

The new 13-inch MacBook Retina is going to enter the market this June. We are expecting that Apple will introduce this model at their developer conference WWDC, which is going to be held in June, too. Last year, HomePod, iMac Pro, and updated iMacs and laptops were announced at this event.

The current reports refer to the new model as a 13-inch MacBook, not a MacBook Air. However, KGI says that a cheaper 13-inch MacBook Air is also up to come this year. It might be that the two experts are talking about the same model or Apple is setting a lower price for both MacBook Retina and Air.

Also, the latest notes about the new Apple products reports that iPad updates are going to be launched this year. This one is suggested to cost about $300.

Additionally, there are rumors that new iPad Pro hardware elements are expected to appear at the market in the second part of 2018. We are waiting for a new iPad Pro with a bezel design, integrated Face ID unlock and removed Home button this year.
